On the afternoon of November 7, 2015, the opening ceremony of the 13th Sports Games was successfully held in Wuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region!
This sports event will feature 6,326 athletes, coaches, and team leaders from 29 delegations representing 14 cities across the region and 15 different industries. Competitions will be held in 20 events for the youth category and 11 events for adults, vying for a total of 715 gold medals. This is the largest and most prestigious sports event in the history of Guangxi.
The current regional sports games serve as a grand review of the achievements in Guangxi's sports development since the 12th Five-Year Plan.It is of great significance for showcasing the accomplishments of sports in the autonomous region, highlighting the spirit of the people of Guangxi, and uniting the forces of reform and development.
At the Zhongheng Stadium, which accommodates over 30,000 people, the opening ceremony featured a large-scale cultural and sports performance titled "Sports of Eight Guizhou: Dreaming of Wuzhou," which elevated the event to its climax.
The sound reinforcement system for this opening ceremony exclusively utilized JAZZPRO JL series linear array speakers and CM15 stage monitor speakers. The organizing committee emphasized green, environmentally friendly, and low-carbon practices; therefore, a large number of stage lighting fixtures were not used, and the stage design was open. All sound reinforcement speakers could not be suspended, which posed a significant challenge for the speaker system.
After multiple discussions and validations with the organizing committee and design team, a distributed sound reinforcement approach was adopted, selecting the JAZZPRO JL408 line array system. Three speakers were directed towards the guest seating area, and two speakers were aimed at the athlete competition area, with a JL218S subwoofer positioned below each JL408.
The JL408 speaker consists of four 8-inch neodymium low-frequency drivers and two 3-inch neodymium high-frequency drivers. Its features include a compact cabinet and high sound pressure level (maximum sound pressure level of 141dB). The power amplification used is the classic German CAMCO Vortex 200V amplifier, operating in stereo mode with an 8Ω load and a rated power of 1880W, providing strong power to the JL408 (rated power 8Ω/1000W). In total, 24 JL408 speakers were used for audience and sports field sound reinforcement, while 16 CM15 15-inch coaxial monitor speakers were used on stage.
The control center uses the classic digital mixing console VENUE D-Show from IVID Company. The entire sound amplification system is digitally processed to optimize the sound field and enhance operational safety, providing strong support for the successful opening ceremony of this sports event.
